Speaker:Prof. 林士弘(Shih-Hung Lin) 國立雲林科技大學電子工程系/Department of Electronic Engineering, National Yunlin University of Science and Technology Title:The study of quantum well and superlattice infrared photodetectors for thermal image applications Abstract:Infrared thermography technology has been used widely for applications in military services, commercial and medical inspection. Among them, applications in non-invasive, non-contact, and rapid-response thermal image inspections in airports for passengers are gradually attractive due to their advantages for abnormal human temperature checks such as COVID-19. Therefore, to develop high performance infrared photodetectors becomes an important issue immediately. For quantum well or superlattice infrared photodetector, dark current will be decreased as the barrier becomes higher or applied bias is reduced. The possible structure to achieve the above concept is the superlattice combined quantum wells to obtain high performance photodetectors. In this talk, the speaker will discuss design of FIR devices and applications in thermal image. Place:S101, Gongquan Campuses, NTNU |
