Here I will first summarize the recent crystal-fiber-based developments in National Dong Hwa University, ranging from visible to telecom ranges. These studies are all based on the robust and high-heat-load nature of crystal-fiber configurations, such as a continuous-wave crystal-fiber/perovskite hybrid laser with a record-low lasing threshold for all-optical photonic integration. In addition, in this talk, I will present the on-chip ultraviolet lasing of our nanolasers based on the plasmonic metal‒semiconductor heterojunction, which is imperative for the realization of electrically driven nanolasers for silicon-based platforms.
