Time:1130925 (Wed.) 14:20~16:20 Speaker:Prof.高至遠(Kao, Jhih-Yuan) 國立臺灣大學物理學系/Department of Physics, National Taiwan University Title:Existence of Pauli-like stabilizers for every quantum error-correcting code Abstract:In this talk, I will at first give an introduction to quantum error correction. In particular, I will start from classical error correction as an inspiration, to show how certain concepts lend themselves in both classical and quantum error correction. I will then talk about Pauli stabilizer codes, which are the most popular formalism for quantum error-correcting codes. With all this done, I will then give a brief overview of our work on quantum error correction, where we show how all error-correcting codes, be they Pauli or not, all share a Pauli-like structure, which we call Paulian. This talk shall be accessible even to students who do not work on this area of research. Place:B101, Gongguan Campus, NTNU |
