Title:Probing entanglement dynamics and topological transition on NISQ computers
Abstract:
In this talk, I will introduce our recent work on the quantum simulation of entanglement dynamics simulated using Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum (NISQ) computers, specifically on the IBM Quantum platform . We investigate the second-order Renyi entropy by randomized measurements and Berry phases extracted from the twisted order parameter. To simulate the time evolution of partial-dimerized quench Hamiltonians, we perform Trotter decompositions with adaptive step sizes. In the fully dimerized limit, the time evolution operator is exactly mapped to quantum gates, which significantly reduces circuit depth even at long times. After applying error mitigation techniques, we find that the simulation results agree well with theoretical predictions. Additionally, we developed a Python package to manage workflows and facilitate parallel post-processing.
