including examinations and the defense of the doctoral dissertation within seven of their first registration in the Ph. D program of Physics department of NTNU.

1. Conditions on the fulfillment of the eighteen points of credit:

2. Qualifying examination
3. Defense of thedoctoral dissertation
4. At least one research article published in or accepted by journals listed in SCI, SSCI, EI, or
TSSCI.

5. Serving as a teaching assistant in the department for at least one semester or having equivalent teaching experience.
