These objects are massive gas giants residing on extremely wide orbits, with separations of hundreds and even thousands of astronomical units. Their wide separations provide a unique opportunity for detailed characterization of their physical properties and surrounding environments. In this talk, I will briefly introduce the techniques used to discover these objects, discuss the physical processes underlying their multiwavelength spectral energy distributions, and review their potential formation scenarios. I will also present recent work from our group on the accretion disks surrounding these objects. Place:S101, Gongguan Campus, NTNU |
