Title：Brain-ComputerInterface: Trends and Challenges
Abstract：Recent advances in non-invasive brain-computer interfacing (BCI) based on electroencephalography (EEG) have shed light on the development of a practical neuromonitoring system for decoding brain activities and tracking human cognition. Yet, in the transition from well-controlled laboratories to complex real-world environments, there are practical issues remain to be resolved. This talk reviews a series of representative studies regarding the topic of developing real-world brain monitoring methodologies and gives an in-depth overview of the ongoing efforts that give rise to significant improvements in the unobtrusiveness of EEG recording and the robustness of decoding performance against pervasive and elusive inter- and intra-subject variability. Finally, we will summarize the current challenges and suggest emerging trends in potential applications of EEG-based BCI.
